White Kitchen Designs ideas for your home
There are many different types of kitchen designs and a favorite of many people is the rustic kitchen. The reason for this is it reminds us of a home in the country or on a farm and it is warm and inviting. This style of decor can be used anywhere, even in a modern home in a metropolis.

Kitchen Materials
Rustic kitchens will have a rugged and old look but that does not mean they can not be beautiful kitchens. One aspect of the rugged look is the wood that is used. To be rustic, you have to use a lot of wood, especially in the cabinets. There are many options of styles, such as cabinets with a Spanish flair or ones that resemble a farm in Tuscany. Another option is a weathered look to make the kitchen have a lived-in look.
Wood can also be used as beams or on the floor in these kinds of kitchen designs. Another material found in rustic kitchens is stone, which gives a down-to-earth feel. Copper or hammered copper can be used as a stove hood or in utensils. The knobs and pulls of doors should have an antique look and brass is a good choice for these but copper works well, too.
Kitchen Colors
Beautiful kitchens will incorporate beautiful colors to set the right mood. Rustic kitchens need warm colors to show that connection to the earth. Orange is a favorite color and can be complemented with shades of gold, yellow, and red. Olive green and cobalt blue can be used as accent colors to brighten the room.
